St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Primary School was founded by the Catholic Church to provide education for children of Catholic families. Whenever there are more applications than places available, priority will always be given to Catholic children in accordance with the oversubscription criteria listed below. The school is conducted by its governing body as part of the Catholic Church in accordance with its trust deed and instrument of government and seeks at all times to be a witness to Our Lord Jesus Christ.

As a Catholic school, we aim to provide a Catholic education for all our pupils, including all pupils from diverse backgrounds and faiths.  As a Catholic school, Catholic doctrine and practice permeate every aspect of the school’s activity.  It is essential that the Catholic character of the school’s education is fully supported by all families in the school. We therefore hope that all parents/carers will give their full, unreserved and positive support for the aims and ethos of the school. This does not affect the right of an applicant who is not Catholic to apply for and be admitted to a place in the school in accordance with the admissions arrangements.

The governing body is the admission authority and has responsibility for admissions to the school. The local authority undertakes the co-ordination of admissions arrangements during the normal admission round. The governing body has set its admission number at 30 pupils to be admitted to the Reception Class in the school year which began in September 2025.

Reception : September 2027

Applications are welcome from families whose child was born between 1 September 2022 and 31 August 2023. The closing date for Reception applications is Friday 15 January 2027. If your child was born between 1 September 2022 and 31 August 2023, you will need to apply for a primary school place by 15 January 2027. Apply online for your child’s primary school place www.westminster.gov.uk/school-admissions.

Nursery: September 2027

Applications are welcome from families whose child was born between 1 September 2023 and 31 August 2024. There is no closing date for Nursery applications, however, we encourage parents and carers to apply as soon as possible to avoid disappointment of gaining a place at the Nursery.       

To apply for a Nursery place, please complete the Supplementary Information Form below and return to the school Reception office as soon as possible.  If relevant, please complete a Certificate of Catholic Practice, however, this is not essential.
